I created a draft of my fractured fairy tale.
First I looked at my plan I created from last week and changed a few things so my story made sence.The things I changed were the characters and the settings.
After I wrote down each part that happed in the real story and changed some parts so it fits my story.
I enjoyed this activity because I got to write my own story and it was fun adding in my parts and writing.
I completed comment thread with Paul. Comment thread is going on to other peoples blog and commenting something nice about their work or asking them what they like or what was hard for them.
I did a maths activity where I identified improper fractions.
First I wrote down the fraction in words. For example: fuve thirds.
Next I wrote down the fraction in numbers. For example: 5/3
After I took a screenshot of the fraction and 5 thirds in pizza slices.
Lastly, I wrote an explanaition. For example: All pizzas were cut into 3 pieces each (thirds). Two pieces have gone. There are 5 thirds left.
This activity was hard cause at first i didn't know what to do.
I read a book about Web of the spider.
The books called Toitoi it contains poems and storys.
This book was fun to read i read page 35 and 34 which talks about spider, and how they wait for there victim or prey to arrive.
I like this book because it discribes what they look like.
This week I did basic facts boxes multiplication.
I used Jack and the beanstalk but switched it up to my own I changed most of the details in Jack and the Beanstalk story.
First, I thought of some good stories I could use for this story. The story I chose for this activity was Jack and the Beanstalk.
Next I changed the charecters, settings, conflict, the plot, the ending, the point of view, and the create mix match.
I liked this activity because I can't wait to share my ideas with the class and create my very own Fairy tale.

I did fractions and unit fractions by represnting it in squares and pizza slices.
First I did unit fractions. A unit fraction are two multiple fractions but the numerator is always one.
I created a slide deck about Maori Questions.
First, I did made up sentences about the maori words. I wrote it in english and Maori so people who don't understand maori, will understand what it says.
Next, I searched for some images on google to answer the Maori questions with pictures aswell.
I enjoyed this activity because I learnt how to put diffrent maori words in sentences.
Today I did a task called Fairy tales.
For this task we had to read a fairy tales and write down the problem, soulotion, settings, and characters.
The Fairy tale I read was little red riding hood.

Today I did my Tuesday workout. The workout I had to do were Fortnite dances called Groove jam, Electro Shuffle, Fresh, Floss, The robot, Disco Fever, Flapper, Tidy and Squat Kicks.
Doing the Groove Jam made me tired, learning to do the electro shuffle was fun but hard, doing the fresh emote made me think about playing fortnite, the floss made me bored, the robot made me feel like I was dieing, the disco fever made me think about when hector was dancing on the school stage it was so fun, the flapper was weird learning, the tidy made me tired and the squat kicks made me laugh because it was funny learning.
I like this activity but I already new most of the dances but it was funny learning to do the squat kick.

At night after seeing Melvins invention George and harold hijack all the machines for the invention convention. After getting detention George and Harold make a comic and through it in Melvins invention and it makes all their comic monsters come to life but captain underpants saves the day.

I like reading fiction books but It's hard looking for new words.
Today we used place value to solve an equation.
First we started with the ones by adding them togather 4 + 6 + 7=10. Then we add them togather 10+7=17.
Next we added the tens togather wich is 20 + 20 + 10=50. Next we added the tens and ones togather which is 50+17=67.
Now we know she practised for 67 minutes. So then we subtracted 67 from 90. 0-7 is not possible so we did 10-7=3.
Lastly we did 80-60=20 then we added that togather which is 23 so Leilani needs to practise for another 23 mins.
I didn't know what to do so I waited to see what other people examples are so I could think of one.
I completed a task called comment thread. Comment thread is a task where you or someone else creates a coversation on your blog or there blog.
For comment thred one of my teachers commented on my Madlibs blog. You should always start with a greeting like Kia ora or Maloleli. Then you say a question abouth thier work like who came up with this.

In Amulet Emily and her dad when camping Emily and her dad starts climbing a cliff. At the top of the cliff emily up there waiting for her dad and hurrys him to get up there and have a look at the amazing view. Then Emily wakes up from her dream and goes to see her friends they all meet in the boat that they are sailing on.

My group and I did an activity called Madlibs. We wrote down: a boy's name, a girls name, a place, a car brand, a number, a colour, a number between 8 and 13, a day of the week, and a type of fabric.
First we write down a boy or girls name, the boys name was Joe and the grirl name was Lucy.
Next we wrote down a place and a colour, the place was KFC and the colour was blue.
Then we wrote down any number and a number between 8 - 13, the number was 15 and the number between 8 - 13 was 12.
To finish of we wroted down a day of the week and a type of fabric, our fabric was cotton and the day of the week was Monday.
This week I did addition on basic facts boxes.
My group and I were doing 2 tasks called OAR and synthesis.
I did a task called synthesis it has Prior knowledge, New information, New understanding Prior knowledge is knowledge you already know. New information is something new you learnt. New understanding is something you now know. This activity was about why you agree or don't agree with bullying.
Later We did the QAR task. We had to answer the questions and put them into a box. The boxes were: On my own, Think and search, Author and me, and Right there.
On my own means the answer is not in the text and you came up with the answer on your own. Think and search means the answers in the text but you have to look in diffrent places. Author and me means its not in the text you have to use your background knowledge and what the author has told you to come up with the answer. Right there means its in the text and you can point to it.
I learnt that you shouldn't bully kids and it's not okay.
This week we wrote complex sentences. A complex sentence is explaning what a simple sentence is using because.
The questions we answerd were how many legs do you see I saw eight because the legs were connected, and Kane montrose saw 5 because of the outline.
The other photo we looked at was a photo of an animal I saw a Duck because the beak and Kane montrose saw a wood pecker because he saw the beak pecking wood.
I like this activity but it was hard finding the picture of a the optical illusion.
Compound sentences are two simple sentences stuck together.
There are three steps: one simple sentence, one comma, one fanboy and one more simple sentence.
The two men are climbing up a cold mountain, and they are having fun.

Addition and Subtraction can be solved by using two stratigies: counting on/back, and rounding and compensating.
My company, Design Builders, mass produced and tested to see if our party popper worked.
First We practised our harry potter design on a piece of paper then we drew it on our cup. We drew lightning bolts, Harry Potter glasses, a broomstick, and a wand. The design turned out good but we didn't draw the same design of harry potter.
Next we got the materials to build our party popper. We got long rubber bands and a half toothpick. The Design builder pushed the rubber band in through the hole in the cup and attached the half toothpick.
Lastly, the Design Builders did the weight and the filling for the weight we used on a piece of paper. For the filling we used pom poms and glitter stickers. After that we tested to see if our company's party popper works.
I enjoyed making a party popper. With Harry potter design. Our party popper didn't work properly because not all of the filling came out. Next time I'm going to use a nut.
My company, design builder, made a prototype on the party popper we designed.
First we modelled what we needed for our prototype. For example we used a medium rubber band and a thick rubber band. The medium rubber band was better because it hit the cup harder, and the thicker rubber band hit the cup softer. The most efficient rubber band was the medium rubber band.
Next we put together the parts we were going to use. We had a paper cup but decided to change it to a plastic cup because it was more efficient when using the weight. For weight we used paper because it hit the cup harder.
Last We modeled our fillings we used fuzz balls because it was easier to pick up. If we used confetti it would be hard to pick up and yarn would disintegrate. We used medium fuzz balls because they were small.
I enjoyed designing our prototype because we learnt what prototype means. I would have liked to use a nut and bolt for my weight because it's heavier and hits harder. We think we could make our party popper better if we used stronger weights.
A trebuchet is a medevil military weapon used to knock down castles.
I wrote an explanation about how trebuchets work using cause and effect sentences.
This week we were thinking of a design for a party popper.
First we thought of the parts of the party poper Mr Wong made they are, Cup, half tooth pick, folded piece of papere, connfitte, and a rubber band.
Then we write down the design we wanted on the party poper witch was paper cup, Avengers wallpaper, half tooth pick, little piece of paper, red and blue connfetti, and a big blue rubber band.
After we write rational this is what we write, We chaged the plastic cup to a paper cup because when you cut a hole in the cup it won't break apart, We chaged the outside of the cup to avengers because people at our market might like superheros,We left this the same because it hold the rubber band togethar, we didn't change the little piece of paper because it will still pop, We changed the connfetti because people in our market might like red and blue, We changed it to a big blue rubber band because it will make a bigger explosion.
This activity was hard because we couldn't think of any new designs.
Summaries are explaning what the reader thought of the book.
One type of summaries is evalute, the writer, writes their own opinion about the mechanisms.
Another type of summarys is repeat, to do this copy the mechanisms you wrote but put it into a better sentence.
Summaries are good to use because it inform people about what the reader did.
This week I read the book Captain underpannts I read up to page 30.
They end up having a test and didn't study and people started laughing.
I like this book because I learnt new words.
This week I did subtraction on basic facts boxes.
We learnt a voritey of diffrent sentences in Maori.
First I looked at the sentences and where they were placed like in the fridge.
Next I took the object I was using which was an orange and put that into a sentence in Maori.
Lastly I put that together and this was the sentence, Kei hea te arani? Kei runga i te tepu.
I like this activity but I don't always understand how to answer the questions.
This week we skimmed and scanned a book called killer quakes.
Skimming is being like a airiplane and looking for keywords only. Scanning is being a helicopter and stopping on a paragraph when seeing information.
First I put in a title on and put in keywords from the book we read killer quakes we read 10 pages of this book.
Then I attributed the photos and difined one keyword from each box, they were earth plates and tsunamis earth plates are slabes of rocks and a tsunami is a big wave of water that goes many times.
Then I put in knowlege I already about earth quakes into the prior knowlege box.
Lastley I filled in Questions box and key word questions box. These questions were for what we wanted to ask and why they happend. Key questions are what the author would have needed to think about when writing.
I like this activity but finding keyword questions about earthquakes was hard.
