This week group B revised questions from this term.

First we played a memory game and we had to say the name of the picture if you made a match . You get another turn if you make a match.

Next I searched up the questions and what they mean. Some were Ko wai o hoa? means who are  your friends, and Kei hea to hoa? means where is your friend.

I like this activity but I want to learn more questions.

Table mat

This week we used skimming and scanning to read a book called the piece of paper path.

Skimming is like being a airplane and looking for important paragraphs and keywords.

Scanning is being like a helicopter and stoping on paragraph and find important sentences.

We looked at a few pictures to find what the book we were reading is about. It was about  metal,plastic,paper.

We applied skimming and scanning when watching a recycling prosses video. We used skimming to find diffrent keywords and scanning was used to find facts that linked with chronology.

I like this activity but it was hard finding facts and keywords about recycling. 

Party poppers

This week we were thinking of a design for a party popper.

First we thought of the parts of the party poper Mr Wong made they are, Cup, half tooth pick, folded piece of papere, connfitte, and a rubber band.

Then we write down the design we wanted on the party poper witch was paper cup, Avengers wallpaper, half tooth pick, little piece of paper, red and blue connfetti, and a big blue rubber band.

After we write rational this is what we write, We chaged the plastic cup to a paper cup because when you cut a hole in the cup it won't break apart, We chaged the outside of the cup to avengers because people at our market might like superheros,We left this the same because it hold the rubber band togethar, we didn't change the little piece of paper because it will still pop, We changed the connfetti because people in our market might like red and blue, We changed it to a big blue rubber band because it will make a bigger explosion. 

This activity was hard because we couldn't think of any new designs.

Codes

There are 3 basic turns. they are:1/4t, half turn, 3/4t, and the last one is a full turn. The two directions are anticlockwise and clockwise.

Summaries

Summaries are explaning what the reader thought of the book.

One type of summaries is evalute, the writer, writes their own opinion about the mechanisms.

Another type of summarys is repeat, to do this copy the mechanisms you wrote but put it into a better sentence.

Summaries are good to use because it inform people about what the reader did.

SSR selfie

 This week I read the book Captain underpannts I read up to page 30.

They end up having a test and didn't study and people started laughing.

I like this book because I learnt new words.

Basic Facts Boxes

This week I did subtraction on basic facts boxes.

I got 100 out of 100 answers correct , I finished under 3 minustes and 51 seconds but I think I can do better. 

I like my times tables because it helps me learn my times tables and i'd like to get a faster time.
